Installed my rear hitch. I used carriage bolts so I can still fit my 265/70/17 spare in the stock location :P

I like how the lights came out. how hard was it to mount them in there?
Not hard at all. Picked up some angle iron and hardware from Lowes. Cut it down to the the size I wanted, drilled a few holes and mounted it to the radiator support bar. Then I mounted the lights to that.
did you get some pics of the mounting?
I didn't get any great pics of just the mounts but I've got a couple from the other day when I was tinting the lights that show how they're mounted.

The angle brackets were actually one 4 foot piece with pre-drilled holes. I cut them down to that size and bolted them onto the support. Then bolted the lights onto the bracket.
great work
Ordered my 4xg diff guard today
Added a WK sticker to my rear window.

Went out and test drove one today, a 2008 SRT8. There's something wickedly fun about a vehicle that size that can launch itself forward so quickly and so effortlessly. It's just not right, in a evilly sick awesome sort of way  However, the loos of the third row and more importantly the loss of the off road capability removes this from acceptable replacement list for the Commander. Maybe when the wife's Audi needs replaced. I had her drive the SRT as well and I'm sure a seed has been planted in the back of her mind. :)
I haven't driven the Trailblazer. The SRT Cherokee has the bucket seats that wrap around your sides just slightly more than your buckets in the xk, not enough to make it uncomfortable or awkward, but enough to make you feel secure in them. The ride is a little lower than your stock xk/wk would be and it has sport suspension, so it's a bit stiffer and rougher than a 4wd model, though not enough to deter a purchase. It drove very tame when I was reserved with it, it would work as a daily driver. The thrill though when you open up that 6.1L Hemi, it FORCES you to giggle like a little kid. The exhaust is nice and quiet when driven like a normal car just enough rumble that you know it's there and not be a distraction though when you get WFO, it resonates through the cab with authority. I really liked the SRT but I'm an off road kinda guy so my search for a commander continues but I will be pressuring the wife into an SRT when her Audi is due to be replaced :) Her former father-in-law has a 03 Roush Racing Edition F-150 Stepside, it's probably hanging around the same rung as a Lightning and I would put the SRT Jeep a notch above the Roush. The interior finish was even with what you'd find in a limited, with SRT logos stiched into the seat backs and on the gauges, tastefully done up.
I have an Overland XK so I am guessing that the SRT would have the same appointments that the Overland package, so I am good with.
Its good to hear that it is lower than the XK when stock, that's one of the biggest issues my wife has with mine, to tall.
Just did a search & there is only one that is within 100 miles from my place for 33k on an 07 with 33k miles. Will have to look, but 33k is little over the top for me for a 4 yro car; might have to look at the S8's or 535xi.
If you drove and enjoyed the SS, then you WILL enjoy the SRT8. It's simply better. SS has a sorry 4-speed tranny. It's awful, it's slower, and it really doesn't look all that impressive. The SRT8 is faster, 5 speed tranny makes is smoother, interior is better, looks and sounds like a power house and ranks among the worlds fastest SUV's (among BMW and Mercedes).
Test fit a 35" tire amd it was a success!

You taken it offroad yet?
I think there is still room...... 37's!!!!! :)
The IROC comes in a 36 inch too...
Not takin off road yet but i am sundat for some light wheeling but is usually flexy.
sal 37 would fit but rub bad wheeling :(
I said 37" I meant 40" LMAO just kidding man. If you can get 35" in there and not rub off road I think that would be good. But keep in mind if 35" tires will fit 5 minuets with a torch and 37" will fit :p kidding again... or am I
Lol i just need a bigger hammer!
Added some LED underlighting to the WK. Rigged it up so I could turn it on with the remote as well as with a switch.

Dude how did u do it like thay?
Looking great
I'm not tellin. I'm the only one. lol (don't want Kenny to find out how to do it)
J/K I made up a wiring diagram. I'll post it later when I get home from practice. (It's in Omelet's LED thread on JF if you want to look now.)
I have the option of on-off-auto(courtesy light). It looks pretty sweet when it lights up across a parking lot as you approach.:p
Bought a yellow chain and master lock for the tire on the cargo rack. Also painted my rear d-shackle, and bought some letters from Autozone - painted them to match the tires - stuck'm on the back of the Jeep - It's very clean... I like the presentation.
Here's a pic

Nice bro looks good. Must be something in the air I'm out messing with my Jeep too :)
Yeah - I had 35 bucks to toss around - So I thought to myself - How can 35 dollars cause the most damage - Here are the results... :D I want to get the letters 'WK' put on the side of the vehicle where the 'Trail Rated' Badge would normally be... but on the passenger side. I expect to do that tomorrow, because I'm already home and it will cost me more money to start and drive the vehicle than it would to actually buy those two letters, lol.
I hear ya man today is the first day I had the opportunity to get out and mess with the Jeep. Once the upstairs is finished things will get back to normal.
So as far as the nerf bars and other various modifications for the Jeeps - How does the 1st or 2nd weekend of January sound... Same deal, I'll bring the beer - but this time let me cover your dinner please, lol.
Well you can bring the beer bro :D We'll talk about dinner, things are just crazy right now but I'm hoping to have free time earlier then that.
Well - I don't think I'll be free before then, lmao. two weeks before christmas, and the week after christmas - My schedule is LOCKED.
Didn't do to much extra for WK... I really just started loading weight back into it. My tools, tow straps, jumper cables, cargo straps, fuel tank.. everything - but I did do some tampering with the ZJ today. I re-installed the front sway bar, in preparation for replacing the ball-joints on the sway bar links, also did some tuning in the engine, cleaned the brakes and rotors, and also did a little bit more trimming as I had some rubbing at full lock on driver side. This will improve the ride quality for whomever may buy it. It occurred to me today as I parked next to my ZJ (as I ALWAYS do with my Jeeps) that I would really miss my ZJ more than my XJ if it sells. I guess because I single-handedly chose my ZJ. Of all the choices I could have gone with - I chose this one. Although i could USE the extra pocket change but no longer NEED to sell it, my vision has kind of changed for my two Jeeps - I've decided It that if it is not sold by Christmas I will just hold onto it. It will serve as my secondary/backup DD and tow rig. I'm focusing all of my investment power back into the WK. Nothing dazzles people like my WK does around these parts, lol.
Sell the ZJ and with all the money just dump it in parts on the WK
