I like that idea, I sent them an e-mail but I will continue the production of ours in case there is not a positive response as well as providing options for those who might prefer something different.

Ah that's Arrie's bumper, I never seen that XK before but the bumpers I have. Here is the link to his thread here talking about exporting the bumpers http://www.theultimatejeep.com/showt...mander-bumpers
lol.... Im thinkin Jon should continue work on the the bumpers... :)
Sal, I dont know about that ladder idea now that I see a pic of it. They ( the ones on conversion vans ) just never seem to be very strong to me.
You aren't the only one! That is a bad spot for a ladder that sticks out that for. That thing would get ripped off the first time I hit a trail. The places around here are tight enough on the Jeep. The rest of that XK is sweet though!
 yeah.... jon keep working on yours!
Yup that is a bad spot for a ladder.
Front bumper is coming along well. The winch plate is finished and installed with a new winch. The bumper mounting brackets are attached and the front of the bumper is installed with the fairlead and optional "D" ring hardware.
Tomorrow we tack on all the other panels to see what the finished product will look like.
Awesome can't wait to see it

literally biting my nails...
I was real impressed. I need to take the plastic bumper off Jacob's Commander and see if it will cover the winch plate and winch, it looks like it will for those who want to keep the stock bumper look.
nice

The bumper is just sitting there so that is part of the reason for the big gap under the lights.
It's really coming along! Will it be done in time for Moab?
What size winch do you have hidden in there?
Any any plans to cut some holes for the stock fogs?
Jon is there anything preventing you from losing about an inch on the bottom and then immediately tapering upwards after the winch area? Like this:
Attachment 1244
Any new developments? Or are you waiting for the unveiling at the TUJ Summit?
The unvailing will be in Moab... :)
We are still trimming and tweeking but it will be finished in time. Ended up taking the ends off and redesigning them as I did not like the way the gap was needing to be filled. have to decied on what the top will be like when finished and then if there is time I will build the skid plate too but I am not sure there is enough time left for that at this stage in the game.
Cool man.
Lol Ill continue to wait impatiently. :)
Measured the new bumper today, The front edge is 5.5 inches from the grille (exactly the same as the OEM bumper).
It really looks sharp, I will paint it tomorrow.
You tease...
I stoped buy the fabrication shop expecting to see a bunch of metal plates tacked together, when I arrived it was finished! I have to paint it tomorrow and find the dress-up bolts I want but I looks real sharp in my opinion.
No pics! Not cool
Painting it to match or going with bedliner? ?
Good call.
Only bad part about my vehicle is i'll probably have to paint to match (or maybe matte white) so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I have a friend that paints so painting to match isn't a problem.... and it'll probably give me the "OEM concept vehicle" look im going for anyhows
Okay....
Here it is...

Some good work there with the blends. And you said it doesn't stick out further than the stock bumper? That's awesome. Need some side shots... :)
