Had fun at Uwharrie as usual such a great place to wheel and lots of friendly people out wheeling today. I almost flipped my XJ three times today LOL twice witnessed by Toby. We ran the three best trails Uwharrie had to offer Dicky bell, ran a few lines threw Kodak rock the finished the day off running a little daniel from the easy side. Toby's WK did awesome and he pushed it pretty hard and took a few lines no one with QT1 has taken yet and he made it. I took harder lines today myself and had a blast. The day started off rocky and ended rocky. On my way to the trail the Jeep threw a transmission line and spewed fluid all over the road and then me while I tried to find the leak LOL. Then at the end on the way back to the outpost to air up and go home I got the death wobble again :( Checked underneath and the two bolts I put in the bracket that holds the adjustable track bar had come loose not sure why but started with a repair and ended with a repair but that's part of the fun right. I didn't get a bunch of pictures I was having to much fun wheeling. I know Toby took some photo's I saw him with a camera once or twice. Now for some pictures....

THanks Sal. I had a ton of fun today wheeling. There wasn't a lot of people on the trails like before but we had a ball. Sal pushed his Red Brick pretty good and almost flipped it twice that I saw. One time he was close to flipping it on top of a 4runner!!! I thought here we go. If he's gonna flip it, he'll do it right, lol.
And I still can't figure out how that rock got up inside my belly guard????
Pictures dudes!!!!

ANd that's pretty much it. Again, I had an awesome time and got to hang with some cool people. I can't wait to go back.
There were a lot great rigs out there today we saw a little bit of everything.
Looks like it was a blast!!!!!!!!
Looked awesome. Nice Jeeps. I'm not sure why the trackbar bolts on the side like to come loose after a good day's wheeling - If i could speculate, you may want to look into upgrading the steering damper at some point for the XJ. It was among my top things to do in additino to a front bumper, and rear tire carrier.
Awesome pictures guys!!!
Glad to see you guys got to wheel with Ryan :)

^He had a very nice jeep. It looked well built.
Sal, you know you could at least tack weld the bolt heads in place. That way if you ever had to tighten it again, you'd only need a 9/16 wrench.
Oh and btw guys, Sal only brought one little screw driver with him on this trip. And he used it to replace the line that popped off on his way to URE. That was hilarious.
Cool his Jeep is pretty sick so I don't think he can pass me by without catching my attention.
Sal - I'm just now noticing the American flag on the XJ while you wheeled - that's some sexy stuff right there.

:)
One of these days...
I used to go camping out there when I was a Boy Scout (I just live & work in Pittsburgh - I'm 9 generations from NC; the last 7 from Salisbury/Rowan Co.). Not THAT particular location, but I've crawled my '79 Bronco up in them thar hills about a bazillion years ago (late '80's). Folks out west don't realize how ROCKY that area is, 'til you show 'em. I used to "cruise" old logging roads down in the Nantahala National Forest when I was in college (WCU) in my Bronco (it was a cheap & fun date with college girls! ;)), but that granny low first with the B-W T-18 was a must there in Uwharrie!
Would love to get my old Ramcharger fixed up - with 4 1/2" of lift and 35" A/T's, it'll either clear the rocks or crush 'em - one of the two. http://www.theultimatejeep.com/images/icons/icon6.png Having been up in that country, I wouldn't take a Commander with less than 4" of lift! Unless it's paid for. :p
I've made every trail there in my commander bro not damage free of course but I was taking the hard lines :D We had Camp Commander there this year it was a lot of fun watching a convoy of commanders rolling down the trails. You should come out next time we go.
^HAHA. So Sal is like McGyver, huh? LOL
I think we should plan a URE trip when it opens back up in the spring. I'd love to hit it during the first couple of weeks that it's open next year. After climbing that one ledge on daniel that I've never hit before, I wanna go back, lol.
Do you know when in december.
