Welcome
Kyle here, I live in Mesa, AZ and I have owned my Commander for about a year now. I have the Daystar 2" lift. I am looking to upgrade my rubber now (hopefully 265/70/17). I just purchased the GetLost bumper from Knappster, can't wait to install. Future mods will include a steel rear bumper, Superlift 4" (if I make enough money to justify), CAI, and probably a performance chip.

Whats up dude? Welcome.
My name is "madrock" and I am located in Surprise, AZ. I just picked up a 2007 Commander 4X4 for my wife. I traded her 2006 Pathfinder for the XK, and it is the 3rd Jeep we've owned in 7 years. The other two were a KJ and a KK.
In the near future, I plan on adding a RC 2" lift, 245/75/17 Hankook DynaPro's, a TJ front light bar with 3 - 8" Kragen HID lights and some skids. I am also switching over to all Amsoil fluids.
My daily driver is my Nissan Titan:

All you really need to swap in the gas tank skid is some jack stands and a jack. Its really easy to do. I did mine a few years ago and actually just had the gas tank back out of it less than two weeks ago to modify the skid. The rear drive shaft was hitting it when the rear end articulated while off road.
Yeah I have to get a new gas tank skid. I'm losing a couple of gallons due to the big dent I put in a couple weeks ago, and your right its not to bad at all. My fiance got me the t case mounting bracket for a gift so I didn't worry about it.

I didnt even know there was a t-case skid mounting bracket.
If I remember correctly, it costs basically the same as ordering the upgraded gas tank.....
The quote I got for the gas tank skid was $260 shipped to my house. The bracket would be $170 shipped. It is a bit pricey.
I got the gas tank skid for around $200 shipped from jparts. Prices may have gone up, but I recall it being ~$180+shipping.
I found a local Chrysler dealership that had an ebay store. They allowed me to buy the skids from them and pick them up. I think the gas tank skid was $203.

Hi,
I recently sold my Wrangler that I've been modding and wheeling for about 8 years. My wife and I just had our first child and we're looking at changing the lifestyle a little bit. We plan on doing a lot of forest road exploring and camping, and maybe looking into some expedition trips.
Here's my 04 Wrangler that I sold (I cry every night :( )

And here's the new rig:
2006 Limited, Hemi, QDII, 2-inch lift (Rough Country I believe), Sahara wheels and tires, and Gibson cat-back.

The first mod will be trimming that exhaust tip because it's killing my already not-so-good departure angle.
Next will be a hidden winch up front, and as soon as I figure out which one I want I will get underway with that.
Looking forward to starting fresh with a new vehicle and getting to talk Jeeps with you all. I have some noob questions to augment my limited research of this vehicle so I'll see you in the tech forums.
Glad to be here!
