Welcome
Welcome
Bump. We've had a lot of new members join in 2013. Say hi, introduce yourself. Looking for specific answers, dont be shy... post up your questions. I guarantee this group can help you out. :) (and we wont yell at you to spend 20 hours searching first)
Finally crossed over to the other side! Glad to join this forum to see what's up! Will be adding a few more mods to the Commander and will post some pics soon. The specs are in my signature I think.
Welcome
Glad you made it over here man!
Check out the Steel Armadillo belly skid and front suspension skid. Both of these protect vital components that are very vulnerable offroad. Next I would do the rock rails... from there its all about what you can afford next as the parts you're protecting aren't commonly hit areas offroad and are more cosmetic.
FYI here's a member selling a belly skid for a great price:

Do you have any tow points? If not check out Aspen Creek Offroad for from shackle mounts.
Thanks Matt, will start checking things out.
Howdy! I'm new to the Jeep Commander, just picked one up a couple of weeks ago that some of you might find familiar. It's a 2007 4.7L 4x4.

Welcome aboard man! Glad to see one of our previous members' rig made it back to the site. Got a great group of guys here so dont feel shy posting new threads/mods/questions/etc or joining in our discussions. :)
Most of us don't get upset to answer questions that have beenasked
before. Ask away!!
You have now found the true XK/WK site, Welcome!
No problem, good to have another Houston area XK! If your lookin' for some legal places to offroad, there's a place in Sugarland called "sugar hill offroad", and there's also "down south offroad" right outside a Crosby. Down south tends to have a lot of participants with "liquid courage", and things tend to break, so I usually just stick to random trails around Alvin and Webster.
Definitely man!
Let me know when you're ready. Hopefully your garage is warm?!!
I have a 70,000btu heater that'll turn it into a toaster oven with a garage door completely open. Lol we're good.
When's this party happening?
Sent from wherever my Jeep takes me.
Bumpers shipping out Monday. I'm guessing it's going to take more than a week so it looks like I'll be installing it on the 21st.
Hoping to get down there! Depends on Xmas shopping! Wife is working that day!
Hello,
My name Cody aka Chambec. My wife and i purchased our XK 2 years ago and have loved it ever since. Its a 2008 XK overlander edition with the HEMI. Out of all the rigs I have owned in the past few years, this one has raised its ranks to being my favorite rig. Although i have not done any mods to it, i have always wanted to do some major surgery to it.
So enough with the talk, here are the latest image(s).

They sure are. Nice looking XK by the way you should start a garage thread.
lol, I don't know how to do that. Isn't that just where I'd post my diy stuff?

Yea its where you put all your stuff in one place. It gives you a record of your build and allows others to see your progress. Also when asking for help we have a place to see the details of your Jeep which helps us give advice. You garage thread goes here http://www.theultimatejeep.com/forum...p?23-My-Garage You can look at some of ours to get an idea how you want to lay yours out.
Not a new member, but a new owner of a WK. Last week I found a 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with the 3.0 CRD. I drove 200+ miles to Indianapolis, IN to look at it and buy it. I can't wait to start modding it.
Hello! I just bought a 2007 Commander with a 4.7
I love it. I'm here to read about what these are and maybe make a few friends along the way.

Hey I’m Mike I own 2015 Cherokee North 4X4 2.4L it doesn’t have the biggest onions in the bag but I’ve had it off road hunting fishing off the beaten path and up and down mountains over nice sized boulders and have never had a problem. I’m hoping to get some AT tires on there size or two bigger with leveling kit and afew not pony’s and I’m good. I find in the city stop and go is where I have problems with tranny. Lags on tack off or seams to wanna jerk through 3rd and 4th. Other then that no issues https://theultimatejeep.com/images/i...806b42ae-1.jpg

New Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk owner here. I’m not new to Mopar as I have an 18 ram called the Blue Mule it’s a Tradesman Power Wagon.
A couple of weeks ago I took the family to a new entertainment center that just opened here. On the way out of the parking lot my wife saw a Jeep that she thought was cool.
We’re expecting grandkids to be hatched in the next couple of months so she got to thinking that she wanted a bigger suv than her RAV4.
I told her we needed to stop by the dealership and just look at them to see if they were bigger inside. She seen the Trailhawk and fell in love with it. So an hour later we were driving it home for the weekend. She drove it all over the county and we did the paperwork on Monday morning.
