Looks great! Will have a bigger difference too when you get rid of the worn 33s for some new 35s...
Better be 37s, lol. Looks good man. How does it drive? Still able to run highway speeds?
Awesome! I can't wait for this to hit the market. It was hard to justify 2000+ for the 4" from the 2.5. This will be well worth the money for an extra 3.5" body raise + another almost 2" gain from the tires under the axle.
All i drive is highway speeds! Haha
3000+ maybe. If it's much more than that I'll have to turn it down. I'm optimistic at this point.
I just can't justify 2000-2500 bucks for 1.5" more than OME which is what it would cost for me to buy a superlift and have someone install it. If it costs a bit more to have the possibility for 3.5" (and with tires close to 6" extra) I'm game for that.
Just so you know, their 4" setup is $3500 and that doesn't include the $2000 for the superlift...
My guess is 3500+2000+1000= $6500 minimum (that extra 1000 is a low guess on what the extra rear components will cost)
If you want 6" for the 3000-3500 range just do:
4" superlift
OME HD springs/struts in front
JBA UCAs
2" spacer in the rear (from RC or similar kit)
rear shocks of your choice.
That's essentially what JBA is doing except they use Fox coilovers up front and longer radius arms for the rear
The front is a combo of longer forks and springs
rear will jist be a spring. Waiting for the new ones to come in so i can get rid of the spacers
And pretty sure it comes with the fox in the front and the bilsteins 7100 in the back
Along with the new lca and uca for the back
I think the longer radius arms in the rear are actually key for that much lift... it helps keep the axle position a bit more constant as opposed to pulling the tire forward when flexing.
Yea i think youre right... and the good part is both the upper& lower are adjustable. So if your setup changes you can correct it
Yeah if it's around 6k i'm not touching it. That's ridiculous. My jeep will do fine just like it is.
Im sure it'll be close to it if not a little more due to the sl components
Chris, can you measure how tall those strut forks are? I wonder if Marlin would sell a "kit" to those who already have the superlift ... the basic kit could be the forks, rear radius arms and rear springs. Then he could have it so you could add "accessories" to the kit like the UCAs, Coilovers, rear shocks.
I bet those forks + JBA strut spacer + OME HD springs/struts would work well for more of a "budget" option over using the Fox coilovers up there. (as long as the forks and thickness of the JBA spacer are close to the thickness of the SL spacer)
If you already have the sl you can buy his kit to add to the sl. But im pretty sure the forks will only work with those fox struts. They dont connect to the shock lile the factory ones do. But ill measure the fork amd the coils take pics of everything and report back
Good point about the fork... duh.
Posted the pics in the 6" lift thread to keep all the stuff together
That's a great looking rig!
I do, actually. Some JBA upper control arms are en route, and I hope to start working on getting some of my leftover designs -- things I was planning to make through 4xG but didn't get into production -- into prototyping for myself if not for a manufacturer somewhere. I'm also planning on doing some testing/tweaking of a few in-the-works products for a manufacturer in the near future (much as I did for Superlift).
Now back to drooling over that 6" beauty...
Thanks! But youre just saying thay cause you see all that 4xg stuff lol
Though I'm not really a part of the brand since the company sold, I would be lying if I didn't say that it brings a smile to my face to see 4xG goods on awesome rigs. Call it sentimentality. :)
Mostly, though, I'm saying that because it's just a damn good looking rig.
Yea that's a bummer about selling it.
This might sound silly to you but im a east coast guy. Ive madr it a life goal to wheel Moab! So maybe when i go ill se ya there lol.
Moab is awesome. There will be trails there where your 6" lift is at a disadvantage compared to a 4" -- off-camber kind of things -- but mostly you'll just be the envy of everyone who sees you!
Ill bring the tissues b.c. we all will be drooling over eachothers rigs lol
you two guys need a room https://theultimatejeep.com/notfound.png
Haters gonna hate
Lol well in that case i guess im down for a non homo hug haha
We beat up our WK's and XK's offroad together... now THATs a bonding experience https://theultimatejeep.com/images/i...7/drinks-1.gif
