I said it elsewhere, but I'll repeat it here: Smokin' hot!

looks great...love the black Matrix

Here is what I did to cure the D-shackle clanking on the Matrix. Others have used felt and that works as well, but I chose to use rubber chair feet cushion thingies....

That's it........It only cost me $2 at Home Depot and it works great!

Looks great !! I finally got internet back after our move into our new house !! Nice idea with the rubber feet. I may look into Tractor supply and see if they have rubber grommets that would work..

I like that look and love the color!

Thanks, I think you can get rubber washers to use instead. I just happen to be at our home improvement store and decided to try the rubber feet out. So far so good, I havn't heard any clanking and I purposely hit some rough roads to test it. Good luck.

Thank you, at first when I purchased the Commander (used) I didn't care for the color (I wanted black or dark grey), but it's growing on me now.

I read on another forum that the 4xGaurd is rusting within twee weeks of installation.
-
Welcome to the forum, PWE-XK. You did indeed read about a specific instance of a specific part failing under specific conditions -- all from a part finished under a process we no longer use.

I don't remember exactly when I bought mine, but I know I have had it since a couple months before Camp Commander, summer of last year, and it still looks great!

I will chime in here too, I have had 4xGuard products on my Commander since 2007 and have never seen any signes of rust or any other defect in quality.

I chimmed in on the other forum where the issue was posted, but will here too. I live in the same kind of weather, and see salt and all types of road chemicals all winter. I go off road. I had mine at WCCC10, and its had some abuse, and my matrix still looks pretty good. I usually wash it off after an outing, and its have hand washed it with Carnu and other protectants, but i think it holds up with out those. Mine is still rock solid so far.

did you paint the cross bar red on your own?

Dude throw the front skid on there and trim the bumper. With the matrix already on there it would look wicked. :)

Lol, I bet it would look great! Maybe this "guy" will get a metal bumper soon and sell me his cut up one with skid for really really cheap, just maybe. ;P
