So anyone other than me planning on going???
That's about 1.5 hours from me. I'll have to check with the wife to see what going on but, I might be able to make that. What's the winery got to do with it? The wife likes her wine, maybe I could entice her to come along.
Tell her there'll be wine tasting there.
Worst case, i'll bring a few bottles of Malbec for her to taste.... then you're off the hook because technically you didnt lie to her...
I thought that was the point of having it in a vineyard? ??
that would make sense..... i better plan on bringing a DD with me... no way in hell is my skinny italian a$$ going to be able to hang out in a vineyard all day without drinking twice my weights worth of wine.. (ill have to bring some beer to help keep hydrated)
The FEDEX guy just dropped off a 10,500lb winch w/synthetic rope from CSE Offroad for the raffle! http://www.cseoffroad.com/1510011.html
FREE wine tasting!!!!
We just added Liquid Iron Industries to the sponsor list! http://www.liquidironindustries.com/
I mentioned it to my wife and she rolled her eyes but then I told her it was at a winery and she perked up a little. So that's a definate maybe.
I just remembered the date for this is the same date as my Uwharrie trip :(
Ok guys... looks like we're getting a group together for this.
We're registering under the Grocery Getter 4x4 club name :)
Anyone else in?
You already know I'm in.
Yup, you registered?
I wonder how many jeeps are actually going to be in our "class"?
Pretty sure we're grouped in with ZJ's, XJ's and Comanches. But from the pics I saw of the previos meets there it's mostly wranglers.
No scratch that. Just looked over the registration form again. Cherokee, GC, and Comanche are a class. Commander for some reason is grouped in with the Liberty and Patriot. Go figure.
lol... i just realized that Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Comanche are Class 5
Guess what class the Commander is in...
Class 9: Commander, Liberty, Patriot
Edit: for the record, i typed that about 10 minutes prior... son woke up from bad dream. After getting him back to bed i hit "submit" and you already looked up the groups. Gosh i hope i have a shot at winning my class
Yeah, that class sounds like it's gonna be limited. I'm curious to see how many WK/XK's there are there. And we're bringing two or three WK's that look almost identical.
I think there might be one other XK there.... well, there's a picture of a NJJA member with an XK on their website so I would imagine he'd be there.
Gosh i wonder if they park us by class. Can't wait to get some pictures with jeep patriots parked around me; the biggest jeep vehicle vs the smallest jeep vehicle https://theultimatejeep.com/notfound.png
Going to keep "bumping" this up because i know you NJ guys are reading it... but then it "disappears" in the new-posts list so you forget about it (out of sight, out of mind)
I've brought it up numerous times because i think it really kills site activity (and this is the only forum i've ever seen set up this way). Jon's been trying to fix it but hasn't been able to hammer down the issue.
There have been a lot of times when i've read a thread during the day and say "oh i'll have to respond when i get home". But then i get home and forget all about it, don't see it, and don't post.
I've been meaning to mention this to someone. It can be really frustrating when you read a thread and then go back later and there's no trace of it. (I know it wouldn't be that difficult to locate it, but that would take effort on my part.) Hope he can straighten it out.
.
Here's the thread i started on the subject: http://www.theultimatejeep.com/showt...ts-quot-search
c'mon guys.
Check out the pictures from 2010. I think we should make a statement this year and have some unibody IFS vehicles show up!!
http://www.biglenses.com/grjc2010jeepsinthevineyard
(I think that would actually be a better classification for the XJ/ZJ/WK/XK/KJ/KK/etc classes... Split them up by "Unibody SFA" and "Unibody IFS")
Hahahhahahahaahahahahhahaahha
Lol actually I am bitter.... but its because if I win, its like a joke.... like taking candy from a baby..
........ and if I lose to a patriot, Ill never be able to show my face again!!!!! Hahahahahaha
