The bumper has been in development for almost a month, I am hoping the proto-type will be finished by Friday.
Every week it is another week, lol. Cant wait to see the finished product.

Can people without FB see the pictures? ?

Cool... looks like its coming along good.
Jon, why you holding out on us here???
Ah.... lol we'll let you slide this time!
Thanks Matt.
As you can see, the winch is pretty well tucked inside. A larger winch will mean more exposure on top but I am considering an optional cap to cover the winch for those interested.
The passenger side will mirror the driver side and the fog light hole will most likely be in the first section to each side of the front piece.
Working on how the skid plate will work together as well as allowing the option for the owner to keep your 4xGuard skid plate if your prefer (I want to sell you one if you do not have one but I do not want you to spend money buying something you already have).
That's looking unreal, keep up the good work lads.
I wish I was rich!
Don't forget to hang a bottle opener on the drivers side of the bumper and put some holes in it for fog/driving lights.
Dont put the holes in the bottle opener, the bumper....
Bumper looks good man! I like it.
You know on the old tube bumpers, people used to make them double as an air tank. Would that be possible with a design like this? That way, we wouldn't have to move the spare or try to fit that pancake tank inside the wheel well of the spare. This is me just thinking out loud.
Any updates on the front bumper progress?
lol thanks dude
Wish I had better news, I am going to have to talk to some other fab shops if things don't pick up. I have a lot of money invested in the first one but it isn't going anywhere fast.
Sorry to hear that Jon. Hopefully things turn around for the fabrication industry soon.... I know its a tough position to be in.
Doc got job I think didn't he? So is he only fabricating on tue weekends or is he done for awhile?

Okay... Enough of the waiting, I started the bumper yesterday and will update as I go along for your comments and suggestions. Remember this bumper cannot meet everyone's expectations but I will do my best. The first thing I noticed is that there is no way a Warn Powerplant will fit in this bumper, guess that means two versions are coming instead of one.
Anyway the first thing you are going to have to do is remove your current bumper & grill and then cut out the center support.

I did it with a saws-all but you can do it several different ways.

I then hit it with some rust protection (primer) but I will go back and paint it all on the final install.
Then bolt in the new mounting plate:

Install your winch:

and then install the some to be finished bumper to the mounting plate.
Here are some mock-ups for your review and comments:

The silver line you see under the "Bumper Skid Plate" is the ASFIR Front Skid Plate.

These photos show both the new "Bumper" and the attached "Bumper Skid Plate" that will go into production.
It looks small, Where is my stinger going to go :)

So far liking what I see
It's looking good! I like the hidden winch and the fact that the window washer reservoir doesn't need to move.
I agree! Really liking what I see so far. :)
