I know a lot of us were waiting for the revised kit to come out. Anyone plan on getting it in the near future???
My sights are set on next summer. But figured we can't go a whole year without a member installing a lift!!

I would purchase the Superlift if I had the extra funds.
Not from me! I will buy a trail rig before I spend that kind of cash on a lift and new tires. It does look damn good though with the superlift!
In a way I regret making that leap. On Chinaman Gulch (rated a 5 to 7 on Traildamage.com) at WCCC 2" lifts were making it just as well as I was. Unless you want to do some really outrageous stuff I would have to say its not needed, unless you just want the looks. However with looks comes increased tire costs, and decreased mpg (I averaged 13.9 mpg to / from Colorado with only a rack and spare tire on top).
Increased approach and departure angles as well as undercarriage sure don't hurt when trying to get up a ledge though. And the places I wheel almost require traversing some deep mud.... so the ability to run a 33x11.5 comes in quite handy as well.
But also, the look can't be denied. I drool every time I see an XK or WK with 4"+ and 33s...
285/70/17s aren't really that much more than 265/70/17. But I'm also used to having to buy 37s.... so anything in the 33" range is cheap compared to previous tire costs lol
Well no arguments there.........
If I had money to burn, I would buy it and still use the BB for a total of 6"s.
Looks like we're relying on Jon here.... c'mon, 4" with 33s will look amazing with those custom fenders!
Once I have the extra funds im getting the Superlift!
is the revised kit out now?
lol do you have Amnesia?? Click here and then read post #25:

We'll probably have to wait until the JBA/4XG merger is complete to get another update and see if JBA can ensure we get the "new" kit if ordered through 4XG still.
If you can sell them before I get up there or you can come down here... I'd do it. I just blew 900 bucks on tires and a BB lift for the ZJ, lol. If you don't sell them before I see ya - I will buy them... Scouts honor. (as long as this hurricane doesn't frick anything up on my Jeeps)
so what does the "revised kit" have? I haven't been paying any attention.:o
Naaa. .. its only the first time he's asked :p
haha
Read this thread if I remember correctly its mostly rear end work that was changed. http://www.xk-forum.com/showthread.p...ght=Super+lift
I love the SL! It is a completly different vehicle from what it was with the 2" RR lift (mostly due to tire size). The extra 3 inches have made a difference on runs like Grizzly Lake at WCCC and a couple of the hard trails at Moab.
The gas mileage did drop a bit (1/2 mpg?) but I just did an 800-mile trip to western Colorado and averaged 16.8 mpg. I just drive a little slower.
I think a removable front air dam would make a big difference on the highway. Maybe I'll rig one up as an experiment.
What's a SuperLift?
:D
i duno..... but ill be the next one haha
im $600 short now. anyone wana spot me!?!?!?!?!
You got me all spun up about going to RC... dont let me down!
have you been b4?
ive been 3 times but only drove 2 of them. its a blast!
Yeah, but its been a few years since I went. Can't wait to go back
cool whay trails did you ride? last yime i went i was in the new land which was mostly blues and them went up the powerline and a few other trails... but im new at the wheeling gig so i take it easy! lol
Cant remember the exact trails... but lets just say I was there with some pretty intense wheelers (one being a D44 SAS'd explorer). So we were doing the tougher trails and I usually had to take the bypasses because I only had 32s and a worn out LS rear.
didnt take the xk?
lol I've only had the XK for a year... Lets see.. before the XK was my GMC Sierra (which didn't get wheeled), before that was my Silverado on 37s which I took mudding but was too big for RC, and before that was my Explorer.
This is what it looked like when i went to RC

... and now that puts it in perspective for me! Wow. I eventually had a set of 35s on that explorer (and a manual t-case swap and locked the rear).. so I think my last trip to RC was probably sophomore year of college (had the 35s by junior year and the Silverado senior year).... which means my last trip to RC was in 2004ish https://theultimatejeep.com/notfound.png
wow thays tooooo long!
I concur.
So hurry up and get that SL kit on and the JBA stuff so I can be there when you test it out!
sre you able to go any weekend? it will havr to be on a sunday. thats about my only day off
pretty much... im a mon-fri worker. So as long as its not the weekend of my daughters baptism (first weekend in Nov most likely) and a bit of advanced notice i should be good.
Edit: Sunday would work out well too because my friend is off Sunday/Monday and he'll probably come. Hell I may even take Monday off if we're wheeling Sunday...
