Is it just me....or do they never deliver on what they say they are going to?
Let me guess. You ordered it and still haven't received it
It isn't so much that as it is you call...because you can't get answers from 4wheel parts.
Superlift says that they are waiting on a part that will be here Wednesday (perfect day...too late in the week to do anything about when it isn't there Friday). You don't hear from them like they told you that you would. You call them Monday...now it is a completely different part...and is even a part that they told you last week they had ready to ship.
Oh...that other part will be here Wednesday and ship out immediately.
I expected a delay. I just ask for honesty and follow up.
It took me three calls to SL before they actually shipped the replacement front crossmember they said was in stock. I think they're just super-disorganized.
Just got off the phone with 4Wheelparts. Still no complete kit.
Superlift now says that they got the shocks, but there are some bushings that they are waiting for. Last week, the shocks were the only thing holding me up.
How do these clowns stay in business?
Unfortunately they're the only ones who make a full suspension lift for us. I sent inquiries out to Rough Country, Rancho, and a few others asking if they'd develop a lift for the xk/wk. RC mentioned interest but had no planned start date.
So it looks like if you want a superlift you need to order it like 6 months before you plan to do the install
You know, I am in retail.
Either 4Wheelparts or Superlift is full of crap. My guy at 4wheel parts had me on hold for a bit. He came back, said that Marty at SL told him they are waiting on some bushings.
I called Sl, got ahold of Marty. He said that he never spoke to anyone about a 4" Commander lift. He said, I talk to a lot of people. It had been 15 minutes.
I can deal with a lot of things...being lied to isn't one of them.
I just can't tell who is doing the lying. My gut says Marty.
Why doesnt anyone order thru Jon?!? He said he has the complete SL in the warehouse ready to go... Side note, I agree man nothing worse than getting lied to, just be straight up tell me 4 months if thats the case
True! Mark just got his kit from Jon delivered yesterday. He's gonna inventory it and hopefully have it installed soon :)

Jon is the owner who also owns this forum (knappster). He started thesteelarmadillo.com to fill the void of aftermarket xk/wk support.
Yep... This lovely box on a pallet came in yesterday, roughly 2 weeks after placing my order:

Actually, the biggest problem was the shipping company. When I finally got a call from them, they claimed it was the third message they were leaving. Not so!
I'll also mention I only ordered the hardware without the EGR module. I figure I can always add that later myself.

It looks like everything was packed quite nicely. I plan on inventory on Saturday.

Where is the JEALOUS button?
Performance lifts.com.
Good peeps!
Looks like I'm missing 2 brackets... booooo....:(
Ive seen it happen too many times... take a vehicle apart and cant finish the job because one or two small pieces are missing. Well worth the time to check everything beforehand!
Buy an adjustable track bar and those parts won't be needed :0)
Wooohoooo....!!! Jon tells me that SuperLift is shipping the parts out today!!! Fingers crossed!
Congrats !!!!!
I believe Jon...SuperLift, not so much.
Hope so though!
My lift made it! Yeah!!!
Inventory shows numerous hardware and a few hard parts missing. Boooo!!!
Called Marty at SL...he says he is shipping out a box that should have been inside my 5150 box. We shall see.
Lekmedm....was there a hardware box inside your 5150 box?
I'm confused as to why these guys can't get it right and send a complete kit.
The kit I put on my silverado has all the brackets, but they completely screwed up the hardware. They had the hardware "bags", but the nuts/bolts in the bag were missing or wrong.
Ummm.... No. All the hardware bags were just loose in the 5150 box, but all originally packaged. But when I inventoried I didn't check each and every bolt. I think I know what I'll be doing tomorrow afternoon!
BTW, I received my EGR module this week. I didn't realize that the harness is specific to certain model years. There are 2 different harnesses. I got lucky and received the right one for my 2007. Check yours!
