Dashboard Vent Replacement

I didn't see anything on the board about replacing broken vents so I thought I would add a thread about it. It took me a bit of time to figure out what exactly they are called and to find some for sale.

So far I'm still in the looking for parts stage. There are a couple on ebay but I'd like to find a more stable supply that folks could reference. The closest I've come is www.factorychryslerparts.com

The part number for my black vent is: 1PD99XDVAA color code -DV ( I think this means black )

I could use some help with folks that are more experienced with digging through the manuals than I am to help with the color code part.

So far it looks like the price for new is between $14-$20

go to a junk yard and get some , real cheap

Good luck finding an XK in a pick and pull yard. I check my area from time to time and nothing.

the round dash vents

I have a full set if you need any. Just shoot my a pm with offer. I bought a new dash and don't need the vents

I too have extras, just thought I would check before offering.
My extra vents are black. I would trade one for???

I have had to replace one so I don't have a full set and would not part with all of the vents.
God knows, I will break another!

Thank you all for the responses. I ended up ordering two from the dealer to replace my one broken and one that is hanging on by a thread. It turns out that the difference between buying them online and paying shipping an just buying them from the dealer was only a couple bucks so I just ordered them in at the dealer so if they are the wrong color its easier to send back. I'll also have the part number and be able to order more in the future if necessary. I have a couple other things going into the dash so will be a couple more days waiting for parts before I can swap them out.

Completed the swap out. one was dead the other wouldn't close all the way both are now fixed.
