    Zone Offroad Products 4" lift for WK

    Has anyone heard of this lift?

    It's a couple hundred dollars cheaper than SL. Since the WK and XK have the same suspensions, it should work, shouldn't it?

    Opinions...?

    That kit is basically just the BDS kit being sold by their sister company (Zone). I believe this kit will have the issues that Mike (El Cid) noted in the way the rear lift is achieved, and the reason BDS stopped selling it.

    Also, it's really not any cheaper than the SL because the SL comes with the AEV module whereas Zone requires you to purchase it separately. See Note 4:
    4. Although unusual, if ESP problems persist the AEV EGR module can be used to dramatically reduce the issues.
    So... since the AEV module costs ~$300, add that to the price of the Zone and you're really not saving any money. I'd rather go with the SL, especially since they've refined their design.

    Hmmm... I'll have to go back and dig up Mike's review.

    This thread has a review that's rather favorable of the now defunct BDS aka Zone lift.

    Also, FYI, once BDS was made aware that their 4" lift was not providing 4 inches of lift -- a fact I did my best to diagnose with their engineers -- they ceased selling it under the BDS name. The kit is now sold under their Zone Off-road subsidiary. It is still listed there as a 4" lift.
    And a "sneak peak" of the modified SL from Mikes blog:

    In conclusion:
    Zone = No
    SL = Yes
