I am saving my change. It may not be right away, but I am really looking forward to the chance to take all the dumb lines and not worry

That is the best feeling. The best thing I ever did was buy a rig and trailer. XJ's are dirt cheap. Check Craigslist. It seems to have the best deals. Now I need to upgrade the tow rig. Anyone interested in a Commander?

So I pulled it back up front today to replace the yoke I busted last trip. Parked it, walked around front and saw this

You're not seeing things. The axle is bent a little. Luckily I can swap the one over from the new red XJ! Now to decide if I should try to swap it over before our next trip on Nov 13th or run it that day and do it over the winter.

Went out today with the local club and made it about 100 feet into the park when I decided that running this ravine just wasn't challenging enough. So I tried to climb out of it. :smack:

Twenty minutes into the day I did this

    Then a few minutes later

Ripped the grill and headlights off getting winched away from a tree. Snapped the front passenger ujoint right away and snapped the shaft, my 1st!, trying to get turned around. There was a nice loud bang when that shaft let go.

Also my welded rear axle that is supposed to make both tires turn no matter what is now not doing that. Power is only going to one wheel. No noises from the diff though so I don't know what's up yet.
