XK Springs to lift or increase loads in WK??

As i looked at the parts from my XK compiling on my shelf, I wondered.... I have an XK with the 5.7L, tow package and 3rd row seats; So my vehicle probably came with the stiffest springs available for the XK/WK lineup.

Took a look at the parts manual and sure enough, there's a bunch of springs listed:

    FRONT:
    52124199AB [ZDB,ZSB]
    52124200AB [ZDC,ZSC]
    52124201AB [ZDD,ZSD]
    52124202AB [ZDE,ZSE]
    52124203AB [ZDF,ZSF]
    52124204AB [ZDG,ZSG]
    52124205AB [ZDH,ZSH]
    52124206AB [ZDJ,ZSJ]

    REAR:
    52124209AA [ZBR,ZPR]
    52124210AA [ZBS,ZPS]
    52124211AA [ZBT,ZPT]
    52124213AA [ZBV,ZPV]
    52124214AA [ZBW,ZPW]
    52124215AA [ZBX,ZPX]
    52124216AA [ZBY,ZPY]
    52124212AA [ZBU,ZPU]

I'm not sure what those codes mean yet.... but it begs the question.

For example, i'd guess that my vehicle has the stiffest springs and a 3.7L WK w/o tow package has the softest springs...

So I wonder, say someone with a 3.7L WK wanted a small lift, like 1"... If my springs would accomplish that, they'd definitely be worth a look considering there would also be absolutely no issues with warranty (i doubt a tech will be able to tell the difference in the springs).

Hell, if anyone with a 2005/2006 (or even newer) is interested, I have my struts/springs still completely assembled in my garage... they only have 35k miles on them so they'd make good replacements on the cheap for someone running 100k+ miles

Well it just so happens that I have an 05 WK with 97K miles, 3.7L w/o the tow package. All suspension components are stock to my knowledge. I might be interested if we looked into it a bit more. I don't know to much about it, as I've never had a lifted vehicle. The only thing I've got on mine now are the 1/2 inch leveling spacers in the front.

If we can somehow find the spring rates of your stock springs vs my springs, we could estimate the amount of lift you would get....

That'd be awesome, any idea how to go about finding that info? I'll try to search online a bit.

I talked to my bro in law, and the parts manager at their shop doesn't have the spring rates on the stock springs but he says it makes sense because the front of the XK is like 600lbs heavier than the WK. I'm still looking around online to see if I can find the rates.

I've been trying to see if I could find the spring rates in the descriptions on mopar parts sites... Normally they're described as "600 lb" or something which is just a standard measure at a certain deflection. For instance a 500lb spring would have a lower spring rate than a 600lb spring.

Where are you in NY? If you're interested in the setup, it may be worth just trying them out; especially is you could use new struts to start with

Edit: but you better start spraying those lower fork bolts with PB Blaster now!! lol

Hahah I'm interested. I'm not sure if I need them, but they have never been replaced to my knowledge, and my clocks at 97xxx right now, so it couldn't hurt lol. I'm way upstate NY though, in Canton. It's about 2 hours north of Syracuse lol
