As you can see from the photos, the Get Lost 4x4 bumper bolted on by drilling through the front frame cross rail which is only spot welded to the frame. The frame is only as strong as the spot welds, we will not be using this mounting system but actually bolt directly to the frame.

holy crap That sucks! Who's XK is that I don't remember seeing that before? I think I would have to kill someone but then again while installing it I think I would of noticed how weak the mounting system is and fixed it.

Kind of the guys fault too though. He got into some deep mud and was sitting on the frame. Instead of pulling him out the way he went in, they pulled him forward and Jerked it. Big no no in mud recovery to pull into what stoped you.

Sucks it trashed his commander though.

I didn't realize this was crunchy's XK till today just saw it on the other forum. I feel bad for the dude now, he's a pretty nice guy and is having some bad wheeling luck lately

Seeing these pictures all I can think of is how back in the "other forum," when I first announced Matrix fitment for the XK, Get Lost started ranting up and down about how terrible 4xGuard was and how engineering and structural design and computer modeling wasn't worth anything compared to his All Powerful Experience. Then, to prove how superior he was, he said this:

"I have been build bumpers on my vehicles and other vehicles for a few years, I understand metal and have been trained in metal fabrication. I've ripped stuff off my toyota because I didn't add enough metal to spread the load enough."

At the time I honestly laughed at how he claimed that his track record of failures in building bumpers was legitimate proof of his mastery in building bumpers. Looking at these pics from a fellow XK owner, I now feel sad.

Worse thing I can think of for any company is to uplift their own product by stepping on another. I dont know what happened, but that sucks
