Internet Black list law

I guess there some law being introduced that will allow companies to make copy right accusations that could shut down an entire internet site. Check this link out to get linked to the correct sites to read about it. If you read it and want to they have the forms all filled out to go right to your senators. Here is another LINK From what I've read so far this bill is bad news. I think you guys should at least take the time to read it a little.

Be playing advertisements with my video. I dont think it will be a big deal. Has to be sufficient cause to get a site closed down.
I had a client recently who was sued by microsoft for coyright infringement. Long mess but he survived.
You need copyright insurance......

YouTube did the same to me as well and I try to choose music that they will allow but they put links to sell the song but that's no big deal. The entertainment industry is constantly over reaching and I'm just tired of corporations using government as there personal bouncers to change and make laws to suit them just because they have the money to afford a super PAC or lobbiest. I signed the petition and the site automatically sends it to the right people. Microsoft is very aggressive and they have the right it's not like you can rip them off on accident. But shutting down videos and home movies because a song is playing in the back ground is just ridiculous. I mean I have to worry about what song is on the radio the next time I'm recording a off road video not cool. Not saying they would but they would have the right to do so and that's enough in my book to sigh the form.

Funny story... back in the day when i had my Explorer, the forum I was on would make a yearly calendar using pictures of MEMBERS rides who sent in their PERSONAL pictures to be used in the calendar. Well, somehow Ford got wind of this and sent a letter from their lawyers saying that the calendar infringed on copyright laws and we weren't allowed to print/buy the calendars because they had "Ford" logos on them (from our grills). That went over like a fart in church...

That's the kind of stupid stuff they will do right there. They can say all they wan't how they won't but if they have the option they will use it.

This is a bunch of crap! You should be able to use whatever music/pic you want in your own video. I mean, c'mon man........you would think thier "products" would get more exposure if they let people use them on the internet. Always after the $$$$ and not giving a damn about anyone else.

Read the actual bill. I had a hard time finding it over all the rants about it.
I disagree with the most of the comments made against it.

Call me naive, but I don/t think all the isp's and IRL`s
wrote one letter and they all signed it.

I don't see how this forum could be held accountable
for allowing anyone that posted a video of us wheeling
with the radio playing in the background unless you were
selling the video.

Not gonna lie... I didn't spend a lot of time tracking down this bill. Just read a few news articles yesterday during lunch.... lol and we know How the news never blows anything out of proportion. ..

Well I will call you naive then because to think uncle sam won't over reach for some malicious intent then you are niave. If they have the power they will use it never trust them to do the right thing wright the laws that force them to do the right thing.
