Okay, here is what I think is the final version unless someone here has any great idea for it. Keep in mind this is cardboard so there is a little sag , the metal one will be true and level.

Keep in mind that the top will be cut out to access your winch although I might be able to have that as an option as long as I can access the mounting hardware with the lid in place.

And a peak at the new skid plate that goes between the bumper and the front skid (radiator support)

Looks pretty good. Is that sized to fit some of the larger winches you were concerned about?

Also, if you make the top plate removable/hinged (think of the console lid you made) then that would solve the issue of reaching the mounting hardware and allow non-winchers to use that space for cargo (tow straps, tools, etc)

Yes, this space was increased to allow for larger winches (Warn PowerPlant still too large with cover in place). I am not sure if the top will be hinged or how I want to do that but I do want a cover option of some sort if I can make it look good.

The Aluminum one is ASFIR (available in my store) and Steel Armadillo will be making the one between the bumper and the ASFIR item.

Wow that thing is bigger than I was expecting. Are you making two versions and this is the larger version? This one sticks out a ways. It doesn't look like you even needed to cut the crossmember to fit a normal winch in there. Not that I am planning on buying one for the XK I don't have Just throwing out my thoughts.

This one only sticks out 1/2 inch further than the one I took off, I think the cardboard gives a false look. But yes, they will be a smaller version for people who want to install a normal winch.

I still wonder if it would be better, both aesthetically and producibility wise, to make the "base" bumper smaller for general winches and then just have a different center section for the variant made for larger winches. Crude 5 minute sketch attached shows the additional bulge in red. This would make most of the bumper interchangeable (standard panels that can be water jetted) with just a few panels that change.

I thought long and hard about this last night and I think I will start with the smaller one since that will be the biggest seller and then I will make the large one for me and see if there is a market for it AFTER the main model (model name yet to be determined) becomes available.

Smart business decision I think. I know I don't need a huge winch with on board. Just a 8k LBS winch would do for me.
