See if you can throw a set of mini SA sliders on it too.

By the way, where did you get that thing?

LMAO... Sal that would be awesome!!

It's not mine (i wish it was!). My son was playing with his little RC car and i decided to search (again) for an RC commander and came across those youtube vids. Reading the comments, it looks like that was a custom job; he modified an existing crawler.

I actually found the build threads on a couple rc sites.

I have an RC XK but I want to tear the body off and put it on a gas powered crawler frame.

Where'd you get the RC XK? Have a make/model so I can search for one?

They can be found on ebay for the same price too. It's much bigger than the one you showed. I'm not too impressed with the power in it which is why I want to take it apart. It does a good job scaring the cat though.

The can of Dr. Pepper is for size reference.

Perfect!!!! I just ordered one! Oh man that's a perfect "night time" project. Going to paint and modify the shell this winter so it matches my XK (will have to build a little roof rack and light bar for it too)...

It came with quite a few stickers on it that I took off. The doors also open with a button on the remote and the headlights turn on when going forward, they are bluish like HIDs. You'll see when you get it. It will be a fun winter project. Keep us up to date on the project.
