They are metal bolt s that use existing holes in our vehicles, what I do not like it that they are hex head bolts and you run the risk of sheering or damaging the head on a real rocky trail. I am going to make a replacement parts kit (an optional item that can be ordered if desired) that would have pan head style bolt heads driven by a hex/Allen wrench type tool so that the bolts can be removed if needed and run a lesser risk of damage.Originally Posted by Matt

Existing threaded holes or through holes via nut/bolt?
The front skid uses the 4 OEM bolt holes that the suspension skid uses, plus the 3 bolt holes on the bottom of the radiator support. It is super easy to put on/take off since it only ways 23lbs!
