    Snorkel

Which metal would you think is best to make a snorkel out of? I only choose these two types because its something I can work on as well as find a shop to work on as well.

I do not know the two metals well enough to vote, but aluminum would be lighter and stainless would be easier to care for.

I'm leaning towards the steel right now. Both are good against rust both are pretty strong but aluminum is a lot more money. I'm considering just having a shop bend some 3" tube up and see if I can make that look good.

At $550 man I'm struggling to pull the trigger on that man. If it was around $300 I would of bought it already.

So how bad would it look with a 3" tube going up to the A pillar. Or should it be boxy. Obviously boxy would be more work cutting and welding flat stock together over just having a tube bent a couple of times.

Honestly I think the best route for the XK snorkle is to utilize the desige of the H1. A short hood snorkle would be really cool and east to make.
