    Steering Wheel Dissolve

Anyone else steering wheel "leather" dissolving in front of their eyes?

Had a humid morning today, and it was soft enough to get all over my hands, now my hands are all black.

Just a rant session, carry on

I'm having that issue too. Going to try a leather cover this summer. Don't remember which one I picked out.... I started a thread on it though because I wanted input from others.

No issues with my 2006 steering wheel. Sits in the AZ hot sun all day and is still in original condition.

We got that east coast humidity. Stuff will pull paint off of most anything around here....and give you the sweats.

Same thing is happening to mine. It started happening last year during Camp Commander after driving ridiculous number of hours each day on the way out there. Deinitely moisture related. I moved my hands to a different position on the wheel to let it 'recover'. There is still a worn spot, but at least it's not coming apart anymore right now.
