    Trans flush :p

Ok I've read every thread on all the forums and all the pros and cons of trans flushes. I know Chrysler says not to do it and all the jeep dealers recommend it I have used trans flushes on high mileage cars in the past with good results. I'm not going to list the pros and cons of this I'm sure the flaming that's to come will cover it. Well I wanted a trans service for the up coming wheeling season and didn't want to do it myself and deal with it i have more money then time right now I guess LOL First thing the service person says flush I say no pan drop. Then I thought about the dude taking my armor off and god knows what they will charge me for that. So I decided I would try the flush since I don't think anyone else on here has done yet. I like the complete fluid replacement. So I did and all seems fine so far. Beyond the normal I just spent money on my jeep so it runs better feeling you get the shifts have smoothed out a little. The weird thing and I'm perplexed on this is my MPG's went up not sure why and I didn't change my driving habits eithere. I'm not sure but I'll see we're it is tomorrow I average between 12 & 14 normally I got home it was at 16. So today I reset the thing for the trip to work and again to go home I've don't this several times before usually get home about 14mpg. today and this morning I landed at 17mpg.

I had mine flushed at 30,000 miles. Gonna have it done at 75,000. I still need to do my tease and diffs.

IMO, if it has been over 60,000 miles since a flush do not flush it. Drop the pan instead. I have no info to back this up. It's just what I'm doing.

Ooops. Had mine flushed at 63,000 miles, when I bought it. Still running fine at 68k!

Nope neither of those either. I'm still at 15MPG which I should be down to about 12 by now. Maybe I got a really potent tank of gas or something. LOL
