Buying New Tires, whats your thoughts

So.. belt broke in the BFG KM1s and I am buying new tires Monday. I think I am getting the Kuhmo Mts, I like the looks and they are not to bad on price. Kind of a random dirrection, but I let the old lady pick by picture. They are $200 per tire, so it works for me. Need to keep it under a grand, what would you all buy?

I'm running maxis tires no complaints here I love the way they handle being aired down on sharp rocks no problem.

Ive read mixed reviews on the MT/Rs... they seem like a love-or-hate tire. But, i haven't heard much better about the Kuhmos.

If you're trying to cut down on road noise and get some better wear; those are the reasons i went with the Duratracs. They come in a 265/70/17 (not much different than the 255/75/17)

My MT's are loud on road. Actually that's the only thing I don't like about them. Not sure how quite there AT's would be.

just got the Treadwright retreads mounted Friday. I really like the looks and the highway characteristics are great. I have yet to off-road them. 601.00 delivered and 60.00 to have the local shop mount and balance them. They are a little noisy though...

I have the MT/R's with Kevlar. Mine arent really all that loud on the road and they wear decient for a mud tire. I just have some alignment issues which caused the outer lugs on the front to cup a little bit. JBA UCA's and an alignment will fix that. Im buying my third set of MT/R's with Kevlar here in the next month or so!

for the moment I put the bad tire on the rear, and since these are only at 45% tread I am going to get through the winter. Kind of a toss up between the Duratracs and the Kuhmos. Kind of depends what my buddy can get them at wholesale.
