Thanks guys! I went to gander mountain and spent my gift card and then some LOL I got a new baitcaster reel ugly stick one piece rod and some new line to go on it.
^^^^^^ pic that flurocarbon line is not cheap but its practically invisible in the waterThis will be my first baitcaster I used the old mans last summer a little bit it takes some getting used to lots of bird nest in the line til you get use to it.

I really like the bait caster type reels. I used one for a couple years, and then I stopped unraveling the spool every cast.
Bring your gear to Flagpole and I will show you how to scare away fish from the best spots.
