Are you looking for an All Terrain tire or a Mud Terrain?

I'm going to go with an AT this time. I do all rock and sand driving and want a quieter ride on the road.

Saw an article in Petersons about those Wildpeaks, they seemed to think they held their own for sure on the rocks. Preformed well all around.

Im considering them when its time for me to get new ones down the road.

But you are still going with a larger tire then you currently have correct?

Ya I think I settled on the size you mentioned 285\70\17 seems like a good size and decent price range and a good fit for the XK

Sounds good. Now get them ordered along with that Rusty's adjustable track bar!
