    Walker Evans Racing Wheels

Just came across these this morning. Primarily interested in the street version (simulated beadlock) but they do have real beadlocks as well.

Price is steep ... but they have widths/backspaces that are well suited for XK/WK use with bigger tires. (17x8.5 with 5, 5.25, 5.5 or 6.0 backspacing)

    .... for my XK

Ill be keeping an eye out on eBay and Craigslist for sure.

Only other wheel that I can do that combination with is the procomp 1079... but they're 9" wide 4.75" bs which would stick out .75" further than my current wheels. And I can still get my 245/75s to rub which isn't good if I want to go wider with the tire next time. I think the 8.5" w/5.5 BS would be perfect for 265s on my XK.

how are those compared to AEV's? I remember AEV being the perfect fit for oversized tires and no spacer required. I remember them being like 200$ a wheel or so.

But they dont have the chrome look, so not sure if thats what you are looking for.

I'm primarily interested in a replacement rock ring. AEV doesn't have that option... well unless I get their true beadlock version which are $300 each. And those are 8.5" wide with 5.25" backspace... for $25 more I'd prefer the streetlocks with 5.5" backspace.

Lol but to be clear, id rather NOT spend $300/wheel for any wheel... so its all a dream.

Hutchinson wheels are awesome! That is what I have always wanted too, but man are they expensive. They are usually very heavy as well! The WE beadlocks are sweet too. Russ had the simulated ones that you posted above on his first WK. They looked good!!!

I was just going to say those wheels looked familiar, thought I might have seen it on a 4xG vehicle. I'm not sure what they are made of but they are a bit too shiny for my taste. The wheels holaday posted look pretty awesome though.
