Time to say Goodbye - to the XK

Well the XK is gone and to a new happy owner. I was sad to see it go, but it's time for a change. It was a lot of fun building the rig up to where it was and I certainly learned a lot about the capabilities of the XK. I am now looking at a new Rubicon and will likely pick that up next week. I made some friends here and I will not be "gone" in that respect.

I found that most dealers have no respect for what this vehicle represents, but on the open market it is possible to find someone who understands modding a vehicle to increase capability.

Now for the hard part - black, green, white - what colour should the new one be?

Hope to see you all on the trails real soon!

Could not resist with the offer I got. I am having the new one built at the dealer - 2-1/2" lift, 34's, armor, lights and it will be all factory warranty. Yeah I am thinking the Black-Green w Tan interior would be the bomb!

Believe it or not, my daughter is not talking to me for selling the XK. I was sad to see it go, but it was a good economic decision.

Just because you will no longer own a XK does not mean you are not welcome here. Keep coming back and telling us about your new ride.

I would go green or white... black vehicles just show too much damage for something that's going to be wheeled.

Sorry to see the XK go though

Is the new owner gonna register here??

Sad to here, I know it was a tough call. My brother in-law just bought a jk. They are cool. Better gas mileage for sure.
