    Using Siphon Pump on Transmission?

Has anyone tried (or know if it is even possible) to use a siphon pump in the fill tube? I have seen on other forums where guys have used a siphon pump to get ATF out through the fill tube.

I am getting ready to do a drain and fill on my 722.6, and I wanted to see all the options I have for getting as much fluid out as possible.

On a related note, does anyone have a picture of the transcooler return line? I tried searching for it, but didn't have much luck.

I just pay to have mine flushed I know Chrysler says not to but I've never had problems getting it done and it gets all the fluid out.

I do the same I dropped my pan and did the filter at about 30,000 then had it flushed at 65,000 so far no problems. Plus flushing only takes about 30 minutes compared to the couple of hours it does to do the pan drop

How much do you pay for your's, and does that include the filter? There is a Firestone near my office that wants $195. The nice thing about that is dropping it off before work and getting it after work. I don't know if that replaces the filter or not.

Here in Colorado I payed about 130 for the flush but the flush does not replace the filter only the pan drop does and I do that myself

Two things I don't do myself just because of the mess and disposal and that's transmission and radiator flush and for that I only use the dealer period.

I use a fluid evacuator (pump action) to get as much fluid out of the trans as possible before dropping the pan.... makes it much easier to do.

I recently attempted to replace my trans cooler lines and have a few pics in a thread here. What are you trying to do? Are your lines leaking? ?

On my Titan, I can disconnect the transcooler return line and have it push out the old fluid as I am pouring in the new fluid. I wanted to see if that is possible to do with the XK.
