..... figured they didn't change the exhaust system in following years.

Also all ram truck 5.7L applications in our model years have 3" I/O specs.

Guess there's nothing left to do but get out the tape measure! Lol
I am pretty sure your right because I measured it before and I don't think it was 2.5. However, Ahmed on JC.com had the 2.5" installed lol

Okay thank you! it just seemed small for the Hemi that's the only reason I was questioning the 2.5

I assume a shop would only charge maybe $50-60 for install? I am only paying $20 bucks for it anyway

My friend just bought a 2006 Hemi XK and installed MBRP 3 inch Cat back exhaust. His oem exhaust was 2.5 inch, the same as my 4.7 Liter. The reason it looks like slightly larger than 2.5 inch is because your measuring the O.D. of the exhaust but it goes by inner diameter where the exhaust flows.

Unless they changed the diameter for the newer XK's. Wouldn't make sense to me.

lol hopefully that won't happen (or maybe it will so you have an excuse to get a new one?!)

I should have it on by RC weekend :P I have to find a decent shop around here to weld it on for me

Its not really an "if".... more of a "when" it happens. The stock muffler is huge and hangs down pretty low lol

Last night I rotated the tires on the XK and crawled underneith to check everything out for tomorrow's off road trip. I noticed a nice size dent in my flowmaster muffler. If i still had the oem muffler im pretty sure it would have been destroyed. I love the flowmasters because they are very thick and act like a skid plate!
