Its not really an "if".... more of a "when" it happens. The stock muffler is huge and hangs down pretty low lol

Last night I rotated the tires on the XK and crawled underneith to check everything out for tomorrow's off road trip. I noticed a nice size dent in my flowmaster muffler. If i still had the oem muffler im pretty sure it would have been destroyed. I love the flowmasters because they are very thick and act like a skid plate!

Awesome, this gets me more excited to put it on. Maybe later on I would like to get a black exhaust tip to make it look "pretty" :P bad idea?

I bash my stock exhaust tip on rocks.... its slowly being cut away to remove damage (restrictions). So ummmm, I wouldn't spend any money on an exhaust tip. OR maybe that's a good idea.... cut back the stock tip and get a longer replacement, then remove the new tip for offroading, reinstall when done offroading.

That was my idea originally. Have a shop trim the stock pipe/tip and I will purchase a bolt on exhaust tip and remove when offroading. I will do this in the future I think. With the awesome sound that will come from the flowmaster It'd be nice to have a nice tip :P

Just my opinion I havent seen an exhaust tip that looks good with the XK, I love the hidden tail pipe.. Plus the tip you buy will get pitted and rusted from the winters, I think you will like the discreet look from the exhaust and looks from people when they hear the HEMI WOT!!!

I did see one XK w/ a really nice looking tip and it was polished stainless steal to prevent rust. However, it was on a 4.7L and I am not sure if is made for the 5.7L.

I can't wait to start it up for the first time after the Flowmaster I am on the hunt to find a good shop near me to install it.

Mmmm.. something I've started to consider now myself.

I have also tried two SS tips and both turned dark after a while. I have also wondered what it would look like to cut out an upside-down "U" in the bumper, so the tip could then be flush with the bottom of the bumper.
