I always thought an Amphicar would be cool. "It drives like a boat on land and a car in the water."
I actually saw an Amphicar on the highway when I was driving semi a few years ago. Out west somewhere. By the time I got my camera out, it had left me in his wake.

Here is a little more about the Amphicar:
They showed one of those Rinspeed boat/cars on top gear this past Monday. Really cool but a little pricey at about a MILLION dollars, if I'm not mistaken.
