    3in Exhaust on a 3.7?

Ok well im thinking about changing out my exhaust to 3in from the cat back. What kind of Performance gains would i get out of it on my 3.7. Is it even worth it?

3" on a 3.7L I think is a waste of time and money IMO

Like sal said, on a 3.7 for the cost its probably not worth it for the minimal gain your going to get. I would just install a high flow muffler and save yourself some $. To really get anything out of it you would need to get an intake and tuner also. But your talking a lot of money. If you really want a good gain just do a gear swap and install some 3.73's. that will still run you about a grand or more

Honestly, I haven't heard an exhaust on a 6 cylinder that I thought sounded good.... including my 4.0 SOHC ford and 4.0 I6 cherokee. My honest opinion is that performance gains would be minimal, and sound improvement is questionable (I haven't heard a 3.7L WK/XK with exhaust yet).

I know you have other mods planned. SO..... I recommend saving exhaust for last.

Well ive already got a flowmaster 44 and its sounds great, i was just thinking about it and figured yall were the best people to ask these questions to. and ive got alot of mods coming soon in about 6 months and some of the mods do include an intake, tuner and also putting 4.10 gears in the rear end since in only got a 2wd. but thanks for the advise guys.

If you already have a flowmaster muffler your not going to see any more gain. Get those 4.10's in there and you'll be set

You would probably lose horsepower because of the loss of backpressure
