Put a 5.7L in it and it has potential. What's its wheel base compared to an XK? Probably a bit more, but with WAY more capability for lift/gears.

Didn't realize the JKU was longer. Wonder how much they added for that 6 seater....Hell my crew cab sierra was 143..

Keep the custom built frame, and just do this...
Teraflex makes the brackets to put a third row seat in. You are on your own to figure out seat belts though. No idea how the DOT would feel about adding the seat and seat belts and the jeep certainly hasn't passed any safety tests with the third row. There is no roll bar protection designed for the third row. If Jeep made a JK with a third row I would buy it for sure. I bought my JK because it finally worked with my family and now I added the XK because the family is bigger. It would be nice if jeep offered the wrangler with a v8 or diesel option. Not sure why they don't want to. I think the 4.7 would be great in the jk.
I love my XK, aka the Hummer Recovery Vehicle. Can't wait until the end of the month when the snow hits.
