    Floorboard protection

I have the weathertech digital fit throughout the commander, but recently I saw some rubber flooring that looks like diamond plate. And since I am never satisfied, I am toying with the idea of replacing the entire interior carpet with the stuff. I would say I am doing it for better weather protection but we all know I just want to play around with the jeep some more. Has anyone heard of anything like this? Either way, any comments on potential problems I may have?

I would think this could be a great option but you need to make sure you have a good heat gun to help get the correct shape with minimal cutting of the material.

thats interesting I wonder how hard it would be to heat and shape that stuff. If it were me I would buy a small amount for testing.

Here's what I bought from Summit Racing awhile back:

    Husky Liners: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUS-30612/

I've had them for about a year now, and I love 'em. I doubt you can beat Summit's prices either. The link is to the front set, in gray. You'll have to search for the rear set, and/or other colors for your XK. The rear covers the entire floor, up and over the hump.

They fit like trays, and like this last week-on-the-Oregon-coast trip we just got back from, sand and dirt is completely contained. You just pull out the mat and dump it. The tray-like design also catches water. There was tons of sand as we drove on miles of beach.
