    Went to the dealer, they were moderately helpful, got a good picture of the assembly. $162 was their best price for a new reel. It may have to wait, my garage is full of Super Beetle and F150! When I get to it I'll document the process.

    Thanks! Might get to tacling it sooner than later. It been a while since I've brought out the toolbox that says "interior" on it! That is a great thread thanks for the link!

    Pulled out the shade reel and found the tension slot was rounded. Decided to cut off the reel and use the mount to hold the screen tight and shut. Non-functioning fix for now.
    06 Commander Base, 4.7, QT2, Dark Khaki, Leather,2.5 OME lift, Rocky Mtn Outfitters upper control arm kit, 245/75-17 BF Goodrich Rugged Trails, Steel Armadillo upgrades. This is my 2nd Jeep, I owned a '68 J-3000 Gladiator flat bed in the early '80s.
