Alright, just got some quotes on 245/70s and 245/75s and the bigger ones a bit cheaper. Both E load range, I believe. Do you guys think I will have rubbing with the bigger tires without wheel spacers? I could have them installed as soon as this weekend, but I've got to decide which size.

E load range will be fine. Our vehicles are heavy. Andrew got his MT/Rs in Load range E

maybe im biased and basing my opinion on when i ran MTRs on my TJ- i know my WK weigsh a good bit more than that but still, those tires and their stiff sidewalls werent as forgiving as say a d range or lower.

What pressure did you run? Ive never had an issue with E load tires but I calculate the proper pressure for them. A lot of people over inflate LT tires thinking they need 50+ psi and then its like riding on bricks.

For an LT265/70/17 you're good with 35 psi. At that pressure you'll exceed your RGAWR before overloading the tires. If you're towing/hauling and want to stiffen them up a bit you can go up to 40 psi. Anything above 40 is overkill and may actually reduce traction/stability. 38 psi is a common pressure that suits most people pretty well in these vehicles.

For all my 4x4 and AWD vehicles ive always done the Rearward Cross. Worked very well for my Duratracs too. Every 5k miles

I was a bit worried about the E load range at first but after talking to Matt, he assured me it wouldn't be too bad if I used the right psi. What do you recommend I run them at for 245/70?

They have to order it from a warehouse in town so I can't test fit them.

Well I'd rather not use a slip on wheel spacer or really any for that matter so I've decided to just go with 245/70r17. Hopefully this weekend...
