    08crd

Hi,I am from Perth, Western Australia. This is my first Jeep, I owned a Land Rover Discovery for the last 14 years. I have replaced the standard wheels with 17 x 8" +30 offset steel rims, put on 2" lift H/D replacement springs and removed the 3rd row seats and replaced it with a false floor carrying the fridge slide and second battery.
Its great that the forum has started and is specialising in the Commander. With the model discontinuing a forum like this will be invaluable to owners. Great effort by all concerned you deserve a round of applause.

There you go, first mistake posted this in the wrong place maybe the moderator can move it.

Welcome glad to see you found us. Can you post pictures and how to of your mods. The fridge slide and battery sounds like a cool mod. You diffidently need to start a garage thread so we can all see what you have it sounds cool.

Hi wrenchin hobo, It is a real pity that Jeep isn't continueing the diesel, over here in Aus diesel 4x4's outsell petrol about 3 to 1. You get better low down grunt and twice the distance for the same amount of fuel, which is important over here as there can be huge distances between fuel stops. Also carrying extra fuel in conainers is a lot safer when it is diesel.
Aside from that it is just a lot better having maximum torque from 1500rpm, makes for great offroading.
