Recall # K06 Side Airbag Inflatable Curtains.

Over the next few days, those of us with MY Commanders 2007/2010 WITHOUT sunroofs, will be recieving a Recall Notice.

The recall involves installation of a bracket and a foam block under the 'b' pillar trim to improve the side air bag operation.

Experience has shown that your dealer recieves this recall info about the same time you do so be patient with them.
Odds are the update parts will be on the shelf within a month.
The notice states the update should take about one hour once the job has begun.

Does Jeep automatically get ownership info if you bought the car through a resale, non-Jeep dealer? How about somebody posting when they actually get their notice so the rest of us who aren't "offically registered" know when we can go in and get it done?

I got to thinking about this. I have never recieved the letter from Jeep. So I went to the link above and entered my vin and it says I have no outstanding recall on my Jeep. So, apparently this recall does not affect all '07s and up Commanders without sunroofs. Just a little FYI.
