say I run a XK hemi coil in the front with a rusty strut spacer, I'd set these to the 1" position to accommodate the added height or would setting them to the 1" setting add to the 3/4"-1" I'm gaining from the XK hemi coil and strut spacer?

Setting them to 1" would add to the height.

Id try running the hemi coils with the 5100s on the lowest setting and leave the 1/4" strut spacer off.

I could use new struts. These might be in my future prior to tires. I have to replace my coil isolator a while I'm at it. They are shot. What's the price on these struts?

    really?

i asked this on JF, but setting this shock up to 1" with a stock coil to obtain some extra height- wouldnt that cause premature wear on the shock with no supporting mods for that extra height? or is that what its made for?

im baffled by this shock and the options with it

No. I really think you're missing the whole premise of how this shock works. Lift is achieved by relocating the lower spring perch to increase the preload on the spring. Nothing else is needed.

gotcha... so i could run a set of hemi coils with these 5100s set to 2" and then in the rear run a OME coil with a set of bilstein 5100s in the rear (i know these arent adjustable) and achieve a 2" lift?

Sounds right to me. You would be getting about 2 or so inches of lift front and rear running that setup. And even if the front sits a little higher than the rear or rear higher than the front spacers can be added to get it where you like it

with this set up, i was wondering if the hemi coils would be more compatible as with a set of MD or HD springs?

After putting on the RR spacer lift I'm pretty sure I need new front struts. I was thinking of going the 5100 route.

I need more front lift as it is so can I pair these with my RR spacers?
