Absolutely. Everything im posting is my brainstorming for getting 5-5.5 out of the superlift. Previous discussions have all been about cutting the minimum amount off the coils to "get down" to the desired ride height. These new struts allow a simpler approach via cutting more off the spring to start, then adjusting "up to" the desired ride height by adding preload.

The other good thing is you should be able to adjust ride height without disassembling the strut. Hell, I bet they could be adjusted on the vehicle with a bit of creativity (compress the springs via floor jack under LCA, install spring compressors, drop LCA, move spring perch up, reverse procedure)

I'd be curious what the final ride height would be with 1.5 coils cut, and the 5100s on the lowest setting. Anyone want to be the guinea pig??

Okay I got it now. I was confused there for a second . On a side note these would be good for added weight like steel bumper and a winch and so on!

Wouldn't you still have to use the 4 inch spacer Superlift supplies with the kit since its making up for dropping down the LCAs? Matt are you getting the word spacer confused with the preload spacer Superlift adds on top of the coil? Or are you talking about the 4 inch one that bolts on top of the strut.

Edit: didn't see there was a page 2 on this thread

Yeah I sounds like you've got it correct.

Must still use 4" strut spacer
I would remove superlift coil spring preload spacer, regardless of which spring is used (unless more lift is desired and the 5100s are maxed out)

Hey man.... i've been chatting it up on JF about using the 5100s w/MD cut coils in the superlift for 6". I you could get a deal on the parts, would you want to test it out?

And Mark (lekmedm)... similar situation for you. The vendor wants to know if the Superlift + 5100s (and stock springs) would net 6" of lift but he needs a someone to test it. I can do the install for ya. After we verify if 6" is possible we should be able to set them back down to the standard 4" lift you currently have since the lowest 5100 setting is .75" lift, which is about what the superlift preload spacer adds (so we'd just take that spacer out)

I can test it both ways! With stock springs and the new struts and with the MD springs! I have everything laying around at the shop! So the question I have is what kind of deal are we talking about?

PM me your email. I'll have him email you directly.

I'm half tempted to sell my OME HD setup and run these 5100's with cut MD springs now...
