    Some DTCs

So, for a couple of months now I've been getting some inconsistent DTCs. The one that pops up most frequently is P0420 - catalyst inefficiency bank 1. There was a time it would pop up almost daily. Now I may get it once a week. To add to that, on occasion I will get both P0420 (bank 1) and P0430 (bank 2), like this past weekend. A month-or-so ago, I got a whole bunch of crazy codes in addition to those 2. The only one I remember had to do with driver headlight high voltage.

Ideas? I'm wondering if I truly have an exhaust issue (cats failing or O2 sensor something-or-other), or is there an electrical issue of some kind.

After I had my true dual exhaust done there was a minor leak that would cause that same CEL to come on and off. Check for exhaust leaks first, then tap lightly on the cats, if you hear it rattling your cat may be bad. I found out my cat was bad to but sold it before I had a chance to fix it.

So after quite some time, the P0420 code popped up again. But this time I got a B2100 and B1630 to go with it. Strange...

Sent from wherever my Jeep takes me.

Those body codes are unrelated to your P0420. I'd clear them and see if either of the B codes come back right away, if not they're nothing to worry about.
