    I want a grand wagoneer based on the ram 1500 platform (including the new diesel engine). ... give suburbans some competition!

    you'd think they'd realize they could produce something to compete in the full size SUV class like the suburban and escalade, there aren't really many affordable options. Chrysler could do it, look what they did with the ram hemi express, it has all the desirable features in an affordable cost truck..

    Jeep is doomed is this is where Fiat is taking it..... although I would not have expected any different, unless they could invest in dollars only and not ideas.

    Jeep is not doomed! They need vehicles like this one to sell and make money and also keep their MPG low enough for regulations. Vehicles like this are what give them room to make the Jeeps we like and want to mod. Look at the wrangler, if the only people who purchased wranglers where the off road community who modify and seriously off road they probably would of stopped selling it decades ago. These entry level capable off road vehicles like liberty and now the renegade keep the brand alive and put money in the kitty for the cool stuff. IMHO
