Adding 3/8" strut spacer to ome hd ok ?

I'm running an OMEHD setup on my XK now. Later I will add the hidden winch setup from SA, but have not gotten the winch yet. Im taking the jeep apart this week an is considering putting on the spacers, would that be ok ? or would my angles be to much off ? later when the winch is in, I guess I'm back to regular OME HD height ?

I am running the 3/8 spacer with ome hd. After 30,000 miles like that my upper ball joints were shot...really shot and just switched to jba uca's. Lots of folks run the 1/4 inch spacer and you are only talking 3/16 more lift with the 3/8.... but keep in mind what you add up top comes off the bottom, so don't expect much down travel. It will be less than 2 inches, which means you fall into potholes. Also I have a plow mount and 2" receiver up front and little to no sag with the hd springs. Check the links in my sig for details.

If you are doing the JBA's I would go ahead and do the spacers as well, provided the back is at least 1/2" above the front now. Those spacers will raise you about 9/16" which, for me, put the front above the rear with only the OME HD all around until I added the Monroe F150 Load Levelers in the rear and balanced it out.

The JBA's should take care of the upper ball joint angles and prevent excessive wear.

I measured the today. They (4X Guard spacer) seem to be just 0,25" so I guess they can only give me 0,25" lift ? My front is about 0,5" lower than the back. Will also later in the summer be adding winch and winch mount and that is about 100lbs I think.

OK, I was confused........ I thought you had a 3/8" thick spacer, with the geometry of our front suspensions this would give ~9/16 of lift.

You have a 1/4" spacer that will give 3/8" lift - Go ahead and put it in!
