    That's because your engine skid is plastic LOL Unless your XK came with the full skid plate package you just have a plastic dust shield. The OEM skids are normal 1/8 metal skids.

    I'm just wondering if I can't just have someone make something and good a way to bolt it under there. But if they're not that much money, probably wouldn't be worth it

    Yes you have garbage! LOL The skids are real cheap not worth getting some made unless you want to upgrade the quality.
