For Sale: 3.73 Complete Gear Swap & Powertrax Locker

I just noticed I never posted these parts on this forum. I'm in the process of getting a long travel uniball suspension setup for the IFS on my new Frontier, so lets get this stuff sold:

    1.) 3.73 Complete Gear Swap: $700
    ----Front 3.73 diff from 07JeepXK's V8 commander
    ----Rear 3.73 ring and pinion
----Rear differential rebuild kit from 4xguard
----Hypertech Max energy programmer to adjust computer for new gears

This is everything needed to do a 3.07 to 3.73 gear swap on a V6 Commander or Grand Cherokee.

    2.) Powertrax No-Slip locker for QT-I and QT-II rear axle: $325
----I purchased this locker from a member name Oleblue. He had it installed for only a month or two and did no offroading due to being 2wd. I never installed the locker and got a new set of springs for it, as Kyle didn't provide them; everything needed is included and ready for install.

So I've been wanting to do lockers forever, is that the rear then? And how do you use is? I don't know how that would work, I have a 2008 limited so full time 4x4 would it work?

Yes its for the rear and it's a mechanical locker that kicks in when it senses wheel spin. You will be fine with the all time 4wheel drive, I believe 07JeepXK used this locker in his QT-II XK in conjunction with a locked front diff for a DIY QD-II setup, checkout his thread called "powertrax no-slip locker" my tablet won't let me copy the link right now, but its on the similar threads box at the bottom of this page; he also has info in his garage thread. I was gunna put it in my QT-I V6 XK since it was all time 4hi only, but ended up trading the XK in for a Nissan Frontier due to continuing electrical gremlins. Install is really easy, just slightly pull out each axle shaft enough to mount the 5 components, then reinsert shafts/reattach diff cover + add oil and your good to go.

Damn, I wish I had the cash for the gear swap right now. If you still have it at the end of the year (unlikely) I'll be in a position to take it off your hands. What happened, just didn't get around to putting it on?

Feel free to pm me if you want to try and work out a deal, I could always just sell you parts separately over the next year if you'd rather have the cost spread out, I'd be sure to not sell off any parts to anyone else if a deal like that was established. Either way, there's a good chance I'll still have it at the end of the year, as not many people wheel the V6's hard enough to need\want it like I did. I had been piecing everything together for years since I couldn't afford everything at once. There were a couple factors on why I didn't install it: First, when I started buying parts, I had a shop lined up to do the change for $450 which was way cheaper then anywhere else. Sadly when I finally got everything, they had been declining in service quality for awhile and eventually went outta business. Looking back, the cost could be negated by installing the front diff yourself and just having the rear worked on by a shop. Back then I was just wary to do it myself cause all my bolts were pretty seized from years of beach wheeling and I was still a novice shade-tree mechanic. Over the last year and a half, I started having ongoing electrical ignition issues that just kept coming back after every "fix" and I had a feeling I would sell the XK, as much as I loved it, before having a chance to install/utilize the gear swap.

Bump, anyone interested in these parts? I hate to see 'em unused as opposed to on the trails showin' those "real" jeeps what the XK\WK's can do. Feel free to email me.

The XK/WK parts for sale page. I'll link it to the modified Jeep Commander page as well. Somebody might want at least the locker I would think.
