I would not say everyone is arguing, I think we all agree that a central location is best, the problem is we need to find a good central location. I am sure we will come up with one, I just hope people will com eif we plan it.

Quit discussing who will and who wont and it's too long. FIND PLACES TO GO the answer will present itself.
Once we have places to consider, then weed them out.
    Silverton-Colorado is a place
    Flagpole Knob Dayton Va
    Jeepskool - Northen Ohio
    Badlands-Indiana Mid/East Indiana
Ok - now add to the list. Nothing other than Canada is a bad idea. (kidding)

We should just make a big list of places to go and then have a poll who would be willing to go to each place. Then which ever place has the most votes in the place we will go. Then we just need to come up with a date. It would be far enough out to where people would be able to make arrangement to attend.

After the list is completed.....or large enough, we need to check each idea to see if it could handle the traffic. But worry about that later. Focus on the list.

I am in California (I might be the only one), and it was a 19 hour drive to Silverton from here. That included no stops for food other than drive through. Only other stops were gas, bathroom, etc. Kansas, obviously, would be much further. On the other side of that, Northern Colorado (Denverish) is about the same. While it is futher away, less north/south driving equals about the same drive time.

I have to agree with the thoughts of other who say that a private park is not going to be enough. I have an OHV park less than an hour from me that I have never been to because I can see the whole area from the perimeter road I can drive in my Hyundai. For the kind of travel time to get to a national event, I am going to want to spent several days there. I just can't imagine spending several days criss-crossing the same terrain.

As a related thought, how do I decide between WC Camp and National Camp that year? Funds and vacation time will not allow both.

The best things in life can not be found on a map; they can only be found while Wandering.
