Can someone help me out? I was asked to take a screen shot and PM it to someone so they could see the exact message on my screen, how is this done?

print screen key on the keyboard copies the whole screen to the clipboard.
alt-shift-print screen copies only the active window to the clipboard.

Open you favorite image editor and paste.
    Save and done.

Sounds simple, but I must really be simple today because I still couldn't figure it out.

No the admins on the "other" forum need to see an error message I keep getting but I do not know how to show it to them.

If you have windows you have paint.
Generally found in the start menu, all programs, accessories, paint.
If you don't see it there, just run a search for paint.
If you know how to use the run box, win+r, type mspaint in it and hit enter. (at least on win7)
