I talked to the fabricator that made my bumper and he can do this for 200-250 should I do it or try to find it cheaper?

You can get a trailer hitch tire carrier for $100, but it wont have the fold down option..

I like your idea for $200-$250. But would like to see two preload bolts to reduce sway/rattle. One to put pressure on the vertical bar; it would push the bar outwards and jam it via the release pin. The other would have to be on another tab underneath the horizontal section that goes into the hitch; this one would put pressure on the bottom of the hitch, effectively pulling the whole thing "down" and would reduce rocking and sway.

So it will drop down to access the rear lid am I reading this correctly? I would say for down here that price is high but for Chicago seem reasonable to me.

Yeah, it would swing down so you could open the rear hatch. That's the primary reason I haven't bought one of the $100 versions, I don't want to take it on/off just to open the rear door.

Yea I really like the folding down and the lift/gas can mount. I definitely agree with the bolts though. I know it can cause extreme rattle and we will find a way to reduce that.
