    Post Your Mountain Bike Pics!!!!

Who else likes to Mountain Bike? I'm just getting back into it after a 10 year hiatus and boy did I miss it. I have recently purchased a 2011 Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc 29er all murdered out. This bike is the best one I've ever owned and is incredible on the trails for the price. With the 29" tires it can get over just about anything you can throw at it. Alltho, I'm not in riding shape, I actually felt pretty good out there and have'nt missed a beat.

So, post up pics of your recent or older bikes you've had and feel free to post up stories or what not.

    Here's my bike.............

Just for kicks, this is my Pre-Walmart Mongoose BMX....

Yeah its still is great shape. The shop I bought it from does lifetime lube and wheel straightening, time to look into that. I havent had time to really ride much. Were gonna get my daughter a 20" for Xmas I think so we can then ride together more.

    Thanks man.

    It's a 2009 Fisher X-Cal... mods include:
Easton Haven tubeless wheelset (light as hell too)
Tubeless tires (Captain Control 2Bliss up front and Geux Sagauro in back, both 2.2)
    X9 short cage rear derailleur
    x9 trigger shifter
Shimano SLX crankset run 1x9 with 32T surly SS chaniring and MRP guide.
Avid Elixir CR brakes (extremely good brakes... lol wait till the video)
    Seat, seat post, etc etc.

Actually, the only stop parts on this bike are the frame, headset, fork, handlebars and step

    Here's some pics:

The day i brought her home

Oh and here are my stock rims. The front got a bit messed up when i jumped over a log doing ~16 mph (in single track btw) and drifted a bit off trail and landed at the base of a tree. The bike judo flipped me like a 4th degree blackbelt!

My wife said I did it on purpose so i could get the Havens... they're swwweeeeet

    Ok now for a video.

My wife got me a Kodak Zx3 sports cam for my birthday. It's pretty sweet and i'm sure i'll get some awesome skiing videos next winter. I couldn't find a good way to mount it to my bike helmet because its a bit awkward... so i made a make-shift bike mount. Well, the video sucks on the bike, its way to choppy and you're getting thrown around with the bike.

The reason im posting this is because it has a GREAT ending. You need to listen carefully to what I say.

And just a quick background. I have hydraulic brakes. My friend hit the brake when the front wheel was off for mounting it on his car.... well, that pushed the pistons out and made it damn near impossible for me to get my wheel back on. I basically forced it on since there was a group waiting. In doing so, the pads were touching the rotor and ANY brake pressure would practically lock up the front tire. Oh... and going back to my "motorcycle" riding days, i ALWAYS have my index finger on the brake- just like how I would always have 1 or 2 fingers on the clutch....

    Now the fun:

Those are nice wheels bro, in fact the whole bike is sweet. is that a single sprocket up front?

Oh BTW, That front wheel will buff out! LOL......I don't even remember how many wheels I have taco'd in the past.

Just checked out the vid.......one word.......GoPro. This is what I want for X-Mas this year, just gotta kiss Santa's a$$ so she will buy it, LOL.. Where did you mount the camera? Looks like it was on the bars?

How do you like those hydro brakes? I still have mechanical brakes and they are quick to throw you off.
